You know you've got a fun e-mail to read when the first line is:

"My responses appear below IN ALL CAPS."

Which is of course to make them stand out from the copied text of the original note, but has the nice side effect of making the text look like it's etched in stone or spoken by James Earl Jones. So after a few more imperial decrees, the last line is almost as memorable:

"IN OTHER WORDS, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL FALL 04 TO RESUME THE TRACK 3 STUDIO SEQUENCE."

Please, sir, can I have another?

Bureaucratic idiocy.

The two parties I thought were in charge of okaying my exchange coursework have given me thumbs-ups all the way, but one of them forwarded my schedule to this other fellow who seems to have a problem with it and, unfortunately, also seems to have some sway.

Now, I can't get ahold of anyone who was backing me a week ago, and this guy's all too eager to tell me that I won't be able to take the spring studio until I do EXACTLY what the other track threes are doing this fall. As I can't take any other grad studios until I finish this sequence, it effectively means I can't take a studio in the spring.

Unless of course, I enroll in a studio over here that does work which they deem an acceptable substitute... but this same party could just as easily veto me again once it's already done, and it would count for zilch.

So, basically, I'm in a muck.
